What is Premium Grade Phiferglass Screen?

Here’s the secret of the long lasting Premium Grade screen Phifer cloth. Each individual screen strand in its original form is a fiberglass thread. That thread is run through a plasticoat liquid solution and then through an oven. Once again, it’s run through the same process of plasticoating. It has 2 coats of the plasticoated solution, and it is double dipped. Now a UV protection is add to your screen.

What is the plasticoat solution found in only Phifer?

This is the secret of long lasting Premium Grade Phifer screen. It has special ultraviolet light inhibitors mixed in the formula mixture. Now, you know what the Premium Grade process is. It lasts 10-12 years, VS 3-4 years for Standard Grade. If you get a price from another Screen Company and they are cheaper, please don’t be seduced by the cheap price. It could, and probably will cost you $1,200 more in 3-4 years for a re-screen if it is not the good stuff.
